Update Notification
Compass tells you when a newer version is available and takes you to its download page. When the download button appears at the right of the main toolbar, point at it to see which version is available, then click it to open the download page.
When the Download Button Appears
Compass checks for a newer version when it starts. The download button appears on the Main Toolbar only when that check finds one, immediately to the left of the theme switch.
The button's tooltip names the version that is available, so point at the button to see it.
Open the Download Page for an Update
Before you start, the download button must be showing on the main toolbar.
To get the newer version:
- Click the download button at the right of the main toolbar.
The Compass download page opens in your default web browser.
