R7.Activator Documentation

R7.Activator is a desktop utility for managing software license activations and deactivations for R7 products. Use it to activate, deactivate, and check the status of your Aquila and Cygnus licenses.

Before You Begin​

After purchasing an R7 product, you receive a confirmation email containing two credentials:

  • Registered Name -- your full name as registered with the purchase.
  • Activation Code -- a unique code in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Keep these credentials in a safe place. You will need them each time you activate a license on a new computer or recover lost activations.

What You Can Do​

R7.Activator provides the tools you need to manage your product licenses:

  • Activate a license on your computer so your R7 product runs as a fully licensed application.
  • Deactivate a license from your current computer to free up an activation for use on another machine.
  • Deactivate all licenses across every computer at once, recovering activations from machines you can no longer access.
  • View license status to see whether a product is activated, review masked credentials, and check how many activations remain.
  • Switch between products to manage Aquila and Cygnus licenses independently from one window.

How Activations Work​

Your license includes a limited number of activations. Each time you activate on a computer, one activation is used. When you deactivate, that activation is freed and becomes available again. If you lose access to a computer -- for example, due to hardware failure -- you can use Deactivate All to reset every activation and then reactivate on the computers you currently use.
