Activate License

After purchasing an R7 product, you need to activate the license on your computer so the product functions as a fully licensed application. Activation requires the Registered Name and Activation Code from your purchase confirmation email.

Before You Activate

Make sure you have the following:

  • Your Registered Name -- the full name associated with your purchase.
  • Your Activation Code -- the unique code in XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format from your confirmation email.

The correct product must be selected in the Application dropdown. The license must not already be activated on this computer, and both credential fields must contain values before the Activate command becomes available.

Activate Using the Bottom Button

This is the primary way to activate a license, combining credential entry and activation in one workflow.

  1. Enter your registered name into the Registered Name field.
  2. Enter your activation code into the Activation Code field.
  3. Click the Activate button at the bottom-left of the window.

After Activation

Successful activation showing Activated status with masked credentials and remaining activations

When activation succeeds:

  • The status banner changes to "Activated".
  • The Registered Name and Activation Code fields become masked to protect your credentials from casual observation.
  • The Remaining Activations count appears, showing how many activations are available for other computers.
  • R7.Activator encrypts and stores your credentials locally so you do not need to enter them again on this computer.

If activation fails, an error dialog appears explaining the reason. Verify that your credentials are correct and that your computer is connected to the internet, then try again.
