R7.Activator Release Notes

R7.Activator 1.0.9 (August 30, 2026)​

The following functionality has been added or enhanced:

• More Efficient Startup on macOS: Identifying your Mac during the license check now uses a single fast system query in place of two slower ones. The identifier it produces is unchanged, so your existing activations continue to work untouched.

The following bugs were fixed:

• First Launch on macOS Without a Connection: The copy of the application dragged to the Applications folder carried no local notarization ticket, so its first launch had to reach Apple over the network and failed outright when offline. The application bundle is now notarized and stapled before it is placed in the disk image, so it validates locally whether or not you are connected.

R7.Activator 1.0.8 (August 4, 2026)​

The following functionality has been added or enhanced:

• Application List: The main window now shows every product in a list, one panel per application, instead of asking you to pick one from a dropdown. Each panel carries the product's name and description, its icon, its activation status, and how many activations remain, so the state of all your licenses is visible at a glance.

• Activation Dialog: Entering your registered name and activation code now happens in a dialog opened by the Activate command, rather than in fields on the main window. If an activation attempt fails, re-opening the dialog keeps what you already typed so you only need to correct the mistake.

• Activation Status Colour: A product that is not activated now shows its status in the current theme's standard control colour, matching the Activate button beside it, instead of in red. Activated products are still shown in green.

• About Dialog Icon: The About dialog now shows the application's full-colour icon image in place of the previous single-colour symbol.

The following bugs were fixed:

• Slow Startup When Offline: The application no longer waits up to a minute and a half for an unreachable licensing server before falling back to your locally stored licenses.

R7.Activator 1.0.7 (July 26, 2026)​

The following functionality has been added or enhanced:

• Control Labels: Control labels were re-styled with a slightly smaller font size, so they sit more subtly beside the values they describe.

R7.Activator 1.0.6 (July 22, 2026)​

The following functionality has been added or enhanced:

• Animated Chevrons: The chevron indicators on dropdown controls now animate smoothly as they open and close, giving clearer visual feedback.

• Compass Support: The R7.Activator can now be used to activate and deactivate licenses for the new Compass application.

R7.Activator 1.0.5 (June 20, 2026)​

The following functionality has been added or enhanced:

• Dark Theme by Default: On first launch — before any theme preference has been saved — the application now starts in the dark theme instead of the light theme. Your saved theme preference is still remembered and applied on later launches, and you can switch between light and dark at any time.

• Application Colors: A critical review of the application color scheme was done.

• All software components have been updated to the latest versions.

• Code Maintainability: An extensive refactor of the application's source code was completed. It introduces no change to how the application looks or behaves, but it streamlines the underlying code so the application can be maintained and enhanced more easily going forward.

R7.Activator 1.0.4 (May 31, 2026)​

The following functionality has been added or enhanced:

• System Updates: All software components have been updated to the latest versions.

R7.Activator 1.0.3 (April 7, 2026)​

The following functionality has been added or enhanced:

• Update Notifications: When a new version of the R7.Activator is available for download, a toolbar button with a download glyph will appear next to the theme toggle button in the top-right region of the application window. Clicking on the button opens the download page for R7.Activator in the user's default web browser.

• System Updates: All software components have been updated to their latest versions.

• Application Icon: A new application icon was developed for the R7.Activator.
