Toggle Theme
Toggle Theme switches the whole application between its Light and Dark themes, so Compass can match your working light conditions and the look of the rest of your desktop.
Overview
The theme is an application-wide setting, not a per-window one. Every open window repaints together: the shell, every chart window, the Chart Settings window, the Aspect Settings windows, and the Locations and Natal Records editors. The choice is saved, so the next launch starts in the same theme.
Two controls drive the same setting, and either one flips it:
- The theme switch at the right of the shell's toolbar.
- The Toggle Theme item on the View menu.
The chart wheel's own surfaces, strokes, and text follow the theme too. The colors you set for signs, angles, and bodies on the Chart Colors tab are yours and do not change with the theme.
Procedures
Toggle the Application Theme
To switch themes from the menu bar:
- Click View on the menu bar.
- Click Toggle Theme.
Every open window repaints in the other theme immediately, and the choice is saved for the next launch.
The theme switch at the right of the main toolbar does the same thing in one click.
