Export Locations

Export writes the locations held in the Locations Editor out to a CSV file, giving you a portable copy to back up or carry to another machine.

Overview

The save picker proposes a dated file name in the form Locations_YYYY-MM-DD.csv and defaults to the .csv extension, so successive exports do not overwrite one another.

Two rules govern what is written:

  • Rows without a name are skipped.
  • If every row lacks a name, the export stops and says so.

The Export command is unavailable while the table is empty.
