Export Locations

Exporting writes the Locations Editor's list to a CSV file. Use it to keep a copy of a curated location list outside the application, or to move your places to another machine, where Import Locations reads the file back in.

Export Locations to a CSV File​

With the Locations Editor open:

  1. Click Data → Export on the Locations Editor menu bar.
  2. Choose the folder and file name. See Save a File from the OS Save Dialog.
  3. Click OK to dismiss the export summary.

The CSV file is written to the path you chose, and a message reports how many locations were exported and where they went.

The command is available only when the list holds at least one named location.
