Create New Workspace
A workspace is the container for every study related to a single line of inquiry. The Create New Workspace command replaces the active workspace with a new empty workspace, ready to receive new studies. If the active workspace contains unsaved changes, you are prompted to save them before the new workspace is created.
Open Workspace
The Open Workspace command loads an existing .aquila workspace file from disk. The opened workspace replaces the active workspace, and its first study (if any) is selected and shown in the study content area. The file path is added to the recent files list for quick access in future sessions.
Save Workspace
The Save Workspace command persists the active workspace to its existing .aquila file. If the workspace has never been saved, you are prompted to choose a file name and location. After a successful save, the Changes-Are-Saved status indicator turns green, confirming that every pending change is on disk.
Save Workspace As
The Save Workspace As command persists the active workspace to a new file under a chosen name and location. The new file becomes the workspace's current file, and its path is added to the recent files list. Use Save Workspace As to create a copy of an existing workspace before making experimental changes.
Open Recent File
The File menu's Recent Files submenu lists the workspaces you have most recently opened or saved, so you can return to a workspace without browsing the file system. Selecting a recent file opens it in the same way as the Open Workspace command.
