Main Window
The main window is Aquila's primary workspace shell. It presents the menu bar and toolbar across the top, the Studies list on the left, and the selected study's content on the right, with the current workspace name shown in the title bar.
Main Menu Bar
The menu bar provides structured access to every command in Aquila. On Windows it appears within the application window; on macOS it appears in the system menu bar at the top of the screen. The menus are grouped by purpose, as described below.
Main Toolbar
The toolbar runs across the top of the main window and gives one-click access to Aquila's most common commands: managing workspace files, creating studies, and opening the editors. The buttons are grouped as described below.
Workspace Status Indicators
Two status indicators in the top-right corner of the main window give passive, at-a-glance feedback about the current workspace. You do not interact with them directly; they update automatically as you work.
Theme Toggle
Aquila offers a Light theme and a Dark theme. The theme switch in the top-right corner of the main window toggles between them, and your choice persists across sessions.
Studies List
The Studies list runs down the left side of the main window and shows every study in the current workspace, each with a type icon and its name. Selecting a study displays its settings and results in the content area on the right. When no study is selected, a centered application icon appears in the content area.
Exit Application
Exiting Aquila closes the main window and quits the application. If your workspace has unsaved changes, Aquila prompts you to save before it closes.
