Main Window
The main window is the primary surface for working with Aquila. It hosts the menu bar, the toolbar, the studies list, the study configuration and results area, and the status indicators in the upper-right of the window.
Menu Bar
The menu bar runs across the top of the main window and groups Aquila's commands into seven menus: File, Mundane Studies, Transit Studies, Other Studies, Edit, View, and Help. The menu bar is the most discoverable way to find a command, and most commands also have a corresponding shortcut on the Toolbar or a keyboard shortcut.
Toolbar
The toolbar runs along the top of the main window, immediately below the menu bar. It contains a row of category drop-down buttons that each open a flyout for creating a new study of a chosen type. The toolbar is a faster alternative to the Menu Bar when you know which study type you want to add.
Status Indicators
Two small status indicators appear in the upper-right of the main window. Each indicator pairs an industrial-light graphic (lit green when the indicated condition is healthy, lit red when it is not) with a short descriptive label so you can confirm at a glance whether a generator is running and whether your changes have been saved.
Update Notification Button
The Update Notification Button alerts you when a newer version of Aquila is available for download.
Theme Toggle
The Theme Toggle switches Aquila between light and dark theme. The chosen theme applies to every window in the application and is remembered the next time you launch Aquila.
Studies list
The Studies list runs down the far left of the main window. It contains every study in the active workspace, in the order in which the studies were added. Selecting a study in the list loads its configuration and any generated events in the study content area to the right.
Exit Application
The Exit command closes the active workspace and shuts down Aquila. If the workspace contains unsaved changes, you are prompted to save them before the application closes.
