Window Layout

The main window is organized into the following functional areas:

  • Menu Bar: The application menu bar runs across the top of the window and provides access to workspace, study, edit, view, and help commands.
  • Toolbar: A row of category drop-down buttons immediately below the menu bar that opens flyouts for creating new studies of a chosen type.
  • Studies list: The list on the far left of the main window. It contains every study in the active workspace and selects which study is shown in the configuration area to its right.
  • Status Indicators: Two indicators in the upper-right of the window, Generator-Is-Running and Changes-Are-Saved, each pairing a check / cross glyph with descriptive text.
  • Update Notification Button: A button that appears in the title bar area only when an updated version of Aquila is available for download.
  • Theme Toggle: A button that switches between light and dark theme for the entire application.

Select a Study to View

The studies list determines which study is shown to the right.

  • Click a study in the Studies list to load its configuration and results in the study content area.

Exit the Application

The main window also hosts the Exit Application command, which closes the workspace and shuts down Aquila.
