Main Window
The main window is Aquila's primary workspace shell. It presents the menu bar and toolbar across the top, the Studies list on the left, and the selected study's content on the right, with the current workspace name shown in the title bar.
Window Layout
The main window is organized into the following areas:
- Main Menu Bar: The top-level menus (File, Mundane Studies, Transit Studies, Other Studies, Edit, View, and Help) that provide structured access to every command in the application.
- Main Toolbar: A strip of buttons beneath the menu bar offering one-click access to the most common commands, including workspace files, study creation, and the editors.
- Workspace Status Indicators: Status dots in the top-right corner that show at a glance whether an event generator is generating events and whether the workspace has unsaved changes.
- Theme Toggle: A switch in the top-right corner that changes the application between the Light and Dark themes.
- Studies List: The list on the left that lists every study in the current workspace. Selecting a study opens it in the content area. Drag the divider between the Studies list and the content area to adjust their relative widths.
- Study content area: The large area on the right that shows the selected study's settings and results. When no study is selected, a centered application icon appears here.

To close the workspace and quit the application, see Exit Application.
