Nodal Transits
The Nodal Transits study finds the moments when a body crosses its own ascending or descending node.
Creating a Nodal Transits Study
To create a Nodal Transits study:
- Click Mundane Studies → Declination Studies → Nodal Transits on the menu bar.
The new study opens with the workspace's default settings, ready to configure. You can also create it from the study-group dropdown button on the main toolbar.
Events Captured
A nodal transit occurs when a body reaches its ascending or descending node, the two points where the body's orbital path crosses the ecliptic plane. Each event marks the moment a selected body transits one of its nodes within the study's date range.
An Event Type dropdown controls which crossings are captured: ascending node transits, descending node transits, or both.

Events Table Columns
The events table shows the following columns for a Nodal Transits study. Many are hidden by default; you can show or hide any column by right-clicking a column header (see Event Column Visibility).
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Date Time | Date and time of the nodal transit event. |
| Event Type | Ascending or descending node transit (the event subtype). |

| Body Longitude | Longitude of the body (ecliptic; "Right Asc" in equatorial). |
| Body Sign | Zodiac sign of the body. |
| Body Latitude | Latitude of the body (ecliptic; "Declination" in equatorial). |
