Mundane Arcs
The Mundane Arcs study finds when a body has traveled a whole-number multiple of a specified arc.
Creating a Mundane Arcs Study
To create a Mundane Arcs study:
- Click Mundane Studies → Longitudinal Studies → Mundane Arcs on the menu bar.
The new study opens with the workspace's default settings, ready to configure. You can also create it from the study-group dropdown button on the main toolbar.
Events Captured
A mundane arc event occurs when a body has traveled a whole-number multiple of a specified arc, measured in degrees of longitude (or right ascension in equatorial systems). The arcs you want to track are defined as values in the Arcs table, and the study records each time a selected body completes another full multiple of one of those arcs within the date range.

Events Table Columns
The events table shows the following columns for a Mundane Arcs study. Many are hidden by default; you can show or hide any column by right-clicking a column header (see Event Column Visibility).
