Chart Colors

The Colors tab of the Chart Settings window sets the wheel's body and sign colors. It is organized into three sub-tabs, each a list of color rows with a glyph preview, a label, and a color picker:

  • Zodiac Signs: the twelve zodiac signs.
  • Planets: the Sun, Moon, and planets.
  • Other Bodies: angles, nodes, and minor bodies.

Each color you set previews live on every open chart of the matching type. The colors persist only when you save (see Chart Settings).

The wheel's surfaces, strokes, text, and the line color of any aspect that is not individually listed are not set here. They follow the application's light or dark theme.

Zodiac Sign Colors​

Zodiac Signs is the default sub-tab of the Colors tab, so it is already showing when you open the Colors tab.

To set a zodiac sign's color:

  1. In the Chart Settings window, click the Colors tab.
  2. Set a sign's color with its color picker.

The sub-tab lists all twelve signs:

  • Aries
  • Taurus
  • Gemini
  • Cancer
  • Leo
  • Virgo
  • Libra
  • Scorpio
  • Sagittarius
  • Capricorn
  • Aquarius
  • Pisces

Planet Colors​

To set a planet's color:

  1. Click the Colors tab.
  2. Click the Planets sub-tab.
  3. Set a planet's color with its color picker.

The sub-tab lists the following bodies:

  • Sun
  • Moon
  • Mercury
  • Venus
  • Earth
  • Mars
  • Jupiter
  • Saturn
  • Uranus
  • Neptune
  • Pluto
  • Tenet

Other Body Colors​

To set the color of an angle, node, or minor body:

  1. Click the Colors tab.
  2. Click the Other Bodies sub-tab.
  3. Set a body's color with its color picker.

The sub-tab lists the following bodies:

  • Ascendant
  • Medium Coeli
  • Descendant
  • Imum Coeli
  • Lunar Apogee
  • Mean Apogee
  • North Node
  • Mean Node
  • Vesta
  • Juno
  • Ceres
  • Pallas
  • Chiron
  • Pholus

A final All Other Bodies row sets the color used for any body that is not listed individually above.

The rows above are the full set shown by the shipped application. Additional body rows appear only if the ChartSettings.json file is hand-edited to add extra body-color keys outside the standard set, one row per added key. This is not reachable through the application's own controls.
