Locations Editor
The Locations Editor is a dialog window that maintains the list of locations available throughout Aquila. Every event-generator study requires a location, even when calculations are geocentric or heliocentric, because event date and time are reported in the location's local time using a professional-grade global time zone atlas.
Add Location
The Add button in the Locations Editor appends a new blank row to the locations table, ready for you to enter a name, latitude, longitude, and height.
Delete Locations
The Delete button in the Locations Editor removes the selected location rows from the locations table.
Save Locations
The Save button in the Locations Editor persists every addition, edit, and deletion in the locations table to the locations database file. Until you save, changes exist only in memory and are lost if the editor is closed without saving.
Natal Records Editor
The Natal Records Editor is a dialog window that maintains the list of natal records available to transit studies. A natal record stores the date, time, and location of birth (or any other significant moment) and is referenced by every transit and activation study. A natal record is not a natal chart; it is the underlying birth data that any chart calculation uses.
Add Natal Record
The Add button in the Natal Records Editor appends a new blank row to the natal records table, ready for you to enter the natal record's details.
Delete Natal Records
The Delete button in the Natal Records Editor removes the selected record rows from the natal records table.
Save Natal Records
The Save button in the Natal Records Editor persists every addition, edit, and deletion in the natal records table to the natal records database file.
Import Natal Records
The Import command in the Natal Records Editor reads natal records from an external file and merges them into the natal records database. Use Import to bring in records from a colleague, from another Aquila installation, or from a backup.
Export Natal Records
The Export command in the Natal Records Editor writes the current natal records database to an external file. Use Export to back up your records or share them with another Aquila installation.
