Copy Timeline Events

You can copy events from the timeline table to the clipboard in several formats, ready to paste into notes, documents, or spreadsheets.

Copying Events​

To copy timeline events:

  1. Select one or more rows in the timeline table.
  2. Right-click the selection to open the context menu.
  3. Click the format you want to copy (see the table below).
tip

Ctrl-click to add or remove individual rows from the selection, and Shift-click to select a range.

The context menu offers five copy formats:

FormatWhat it copies
DateThe dates of the selected events.
Date and TimeThe dates and times of the selected events.
Event DescriptionsThe text descriptions of the selected events.
As MarkdownThe selected events as a Markdown-formatted table.
As Tab-DelimitedThe selected events as tab-delimited text, ready to paste into a spreadsheet.
