Timeline Study

A Timeline Study aggregates events from a chosen selection of generator studies into a single chronological timeline. Instead of switching between studies to compare their results, you see every selected study's events woven together in one clean, two-column view of dates and descriptions. This gives you a bird's-eye view of how events across different studies converge over time.

Creating a Timeline Study

A new Timeline Study opens with your workspace's default settings, ready to configure.

To create a Timeline Study:

  • Click Other Studies → Timeline Study on the menu bar.

You can also add one from the New Timeline Study button on the toolbar.

Selecting the Source Studies

Before the timeline shows any events, you choose which of the workspace's generator studies feed it. A new Timeline Study displays a Generator Studies list containing every generator study in your workspace, each with a checkbox. At this point the timeline is still empty and its source selection is open for editing.

Check the studies whose events you want to combine, then load the timeline:

Reviewing the Loaded Timeline

Once the timeline is loaded, the timeline table lists the combined events in chronological order, with each row showing the event's date and a wrapping description. The source-study selection locks while the timeline is loaded, so the view always matches the studies it was built from.
