Aspects Table

The Aspects table appears on every aspect-based study (Mundane Aspects, Aspect Hotspots, Transiting Aspects, Aspect Activations, Conjunction Activations) and lists the cycle angles the study will detect. Each row holds a single angle in degrees, between 0° and 360°. Aquila generates an event only when the cycle angle between two selected bodies exactly matches an angle in the table; the Aspects table does not have orbs.

aspects-table-overview

The Aspects table follows the same row management and preset patterns as the other numeric tables (Hotspot Degrees, Arcs). The procedures below are the canonical entries for those patterns; the Hotspot Degrees and Arcs pages link here for the shared operations.

Add Numeric Table Row

This procedure is the canonical entry for adding a row to any of the three numeric tables (Aspects, Hotspot Degrees, Arcs).

To add a new row to a numeric table:

  1. Type the value in the text box immediately below the table.
  2. Press Enter, or click the Add button to the right of the text box.

The new row appears in the table. The Add button is enabled only when the text box contains a value AND the study is unlocked.

Edit Numeric Table Row

To change the value of an existing row in any numeric table:

  1. Click the row in the table to focus it.
  2. Click the cell of the focused row to enter edit mode and type the new value.

Aspects Presets

The Aspects table does not have a presets flyout button (the slot to the right of the text box is the Add button). All Aspects preset commands are accessed exclusively through the right-click context menu on the table.

Apply Preset From Numeric Table Context Menu

To apply a saved preset:

  1. Right-click anywhere in the numeric table below the column header.
  2. Click the Presets menu item to view the submenu.
