Topocentric Aspect Ephemeris Study

A topocentric aspect ephemeris study tracks the angular relationships (aspects) between pairs of celestial bodies as seen from a specific location on the Earth's surface, over a date range and at the interval you choose. You configure two sets of bodies, the inner bodies and the outer bodies, and Cygnus reports the aspects between them.

Bodies and metrics are arranged on two tabs:

Building a Topocentric Aspect Ephemeris

To build and generate a topocentric aspect ephemeris:

  1. Create the study from Ephemerides → Topocentric Aspect Ephemeris, or its toolbar button.
  2. Set the study's ephemeris settings, including the required observation location, and the date range and interval.
  3. On the Inner & Outer Bodies tab, choose the inner and outer bodies.
  4. On the Body & Aspect Metrics tab, choose the body and aspect metrics.
  5. Click the Run button to generate the ephemeris.

The results appear in the ephemeris table, one row per interval step.
