Topocentric Ephemeris Study

A topocentric ephemeris study generates the positions of the celestial bodies you select as seen from a specific location on the Earth's surface, over a date range and at the interval you choose. The location you set serves as the observation point.

Building a Topocentric Ephemeris

To build and generate a topocentric ephemeris:

  1. Create the study from Ephemerides → Topocentric Ephemeris, or its toolbar button.
  2. Set the study's ephemeris settings, including the required observation location.
  3. Set the date range and interval.
  4. Choose the bodies and metrics to include.
  5. Click the Run button to generate the ephemeris.

The positions appear in the ephemeris table, one row per interval step.
