Chart Display Options

The display strip beneath the wheel carries the three display choices that belong to one chart window alone: how positions are written, and whether the latitude and declination values and the chart information block appear on the wheel.

Overview

Everything on this strip is per-window. Changing a setting here redraws this wheel immediately and leaves every other open chart exactly as it was. The values a newly opened chart window starts with come from the Chart Settings window's Defaults tab, so if you find yourself making the same change on every chart, set it there instead.

Display Options

The three controls arrive already set from your chart defaults, so change only the ones you want to adjust for this chart:

  • Coord. Format sets the position notation this window uses.
  • Display Lat./Decl. adds the latitude and declination values to the wheel; Display Chart Info. adds the chart information block. Between them they decide how much supporting detail sits alongside the wheel, which is what makes one chart readable at a glance and another fully annotated.

The wheel redraws as each change lands.
