Menu Bar
The menu bar groups every Cygnus command into five menus: File, Ephemerides, Edit, View, and Help. On Windows the menu bar appears inside the window; on macOS the same menus appear in the native menu bar at the top of the screen.
To choose a command from the menu bar:
- Click a menu header (for example, File) to open it.
- Click the command you want in the open menu.
File Menu
The File menu holds the workspace-file commands.

Open the File Menu
To open the File menu:
- Click File on the menu bar.
The File menu opens, showing New, Open, Save, Save As, Recent Files, and Exit.
Ephemerides Menu
The Ephemerides menu creates a new study of any of the six study types.

To create a study, open the Ephemerides menu and click the study type you want. See Create Study.
Edit Menu
The Edit menu holds the study and reference-data commands.

Open the Edit Menu

- Click Edit on the menu bar.

The View menu controls the application's appearance.
