House Ingresses Study

The House Ingresses Study generates an event whenever a transiting body crosses one of the natal house cusps. Use the study to track the movement of transiting bodies through the houses of a natal record.

Create a House Ingresses Study

To add a new House Ingresses Study to the active workspace:

  1. Click Transit Studies on the menu bar.
  2. Click House Ingresses in the menu.

You can also create a House Ingresses Study from the toolbar by clicking the Ingress Studies drop-down button and selecting House Ingresses.

Events Captured

A House Ingresses event occurs when a transiting body's longitude crosses a natal house cusp longitude. The natal house cusps come from the natal record selected in the Natal Data Configuration, and Aquila reports the cusp longitude, the sign of the cusp, and the number of the house being entered.

Events Table Columns

The events table for a House Ingresses Study contains the following columns:

Body LongitudeEcliptic longitude (or right ascension) of the body at the moment of ingress.
Body SignZodiac sign of the body at ingress.
Body LatitudeEcliptic latitude (or declination) of the body.
Body DistanceDistance of the body from the coordinate origin.
Body SpeedApparent angular speed of the body.
House Cusp LongitudeEcliptic longitude of the house cusp being crossed.
House Cusp SignZodiac sign of the house cusp.
Ingress HouseNumber of the house the body is ingressing into (1 to 12).
Event IntervalTime interval between this event and the previous event.
