Solar Eclipse Activations Study
The Solar Eclipse Activations Study generates an event whenever a solar eclipse aspects (within orb) a natal body. Use the study to find every solar eclipse that activates an important natal position.

Create a Solar Eclipse Activations Study
To add a new Solar Eclipse Activations Study to the active workspace:
- Click Transit Studies on the menu bar.
- Click Solar Eclipse Activations in the menu.
You can also create a Solar Eclipse Activations Study from the toolbar by clicking the Solar Eclipse Studies drop-down button and selecting Solar Eclipse Activations.
Events Captured
A Solar Eclipse Activations event occurs when a solar eclipse forms an exact aspect listed in the Aspects table to a natal body, within the transit orb. The eclipse type, Saros series, and the activated natal body are all reported.
Events Table Columns
The events table for a Solar Eclipse Activations Study contains the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Date Time | Date and time of the solar eclipse event activating the natal body. |
| Eclipse Type | Solar eclipse type (Total, Partial, Annular, Hybrid). |
| Saros Series | Saros series number identifying the eclipse cycle this eclipse belongs to. |
| Member Number | Position (member number) of this eclipse within its Saros series. |
| Eclipse Longitude | Ecliptic longitude (or right ascension) of the eclipse point (Sun-Moon conjunction). |
| Eclipse Sign | Zodiac sign of the eclipse point. |
| Eclipse Latitude | Ecliptic latitude (or declination) of the eclipse point. |
| Cycle Angle | Aspect angle (cycle position) between the eclipse point and the natal body, in degrees. |
| Phase | Phase of the activating aspect cycle, derived from the cycle angle: New (0°), Waxing (between 0° and 180°), Full (180°), or Waning (between 180° and 360°). |
| Separation | Angular separation between the eclipse point and the natal body. |
| Natal Body | Name of the natal body activated by the eclipse. |
| Natal Body Longitude | Ecliptic longitude (or right ascension) of the natal body. |
| Natal Body Sign | Zodiac sign of the natal body. |
| Natal Body Latitude | Ecliptic latitude (or declination) of the natal body. |
| Natal Body Distance | Distance of the natal body from the coordinate origin. |
| Natal Body Speed | Apparent angular speed of the natal body. |
