Parallel Activations

A Parallel Activations study finds the moments when two transiting bodies are parallel or contra-parallel while one of them is activating a natal body.

Creating a Parallel Activations Study

To create a Parallel Activations study:

• Click Transit Studies → Parallel Activations on the menu bar.

The new study opens with your workspace's default settings, ready to configure.

Events Captured

This study reports each time two transiting bodies form a parallel or contra-parallel while one of them is parallel, within the transit orb, to a natal body. That parallel to the natal body activates it, so every event ties a transiting declination aspect to the natal body it engages.

An Event Type selector controls which aspects the study captures. You can capture all aspect activations, or restrict the results to parallel activations only or contra-parallel activations only.

Each event records the inner and outer transiting bodies of the parallel pair and the activated natal body, along with each body's position and motion.

Events Table Columns

The events table lists the following columns for a Parallel Activations study. Many are hidden by default; you can show or hide any column by right-clicking a column header (see Event Column Visibility). Several columns are relabeled when the study uses an equatorial reference plane, as noted below.

Column	Description
Date Time	Date and time of the event.
Event Type	Aspect type (parallel or contra-parallel).
Inner Body	Name of the inner (faster) transiting body.
Inner Body Longitude	Ecliptic longitude of the inner body (relabeled "Inner Body Right Asc" in equatorial mode).
Inner Body Sign	Zodiac sign of the inner body.
Inner Body Latitude	Ecliptic latitude of the inner body (relabeled "Inner Body Declination" in equatorial mode).
Inner Body Distance	Distance of the inner body.
Inner Body Speed	Longitudinal speed of the inner body.
Outer Body	Name of the outer (slower) transiting body.
Outer Body Longitude	Ecliptic longitude of the outer body (relabeled "Outer Body Right Asc" in equatorial mode).
Outer Body Sign	Zodiac sign of the outer body.
Outer Body Latitude	Ecliptic latitude of the outer body (relabeled "Outer Body Declination" in equatorial mode).
Outer Body Distance	Distance of the outer body.
Outer Body Speed	Longitudinal speed of the outer body.
Natal Body	Name of the activated natal body (parallel within orb).
Natal Body Longitude	Ecliptic longitude of the natal body (relabeled "Natal Body Right Asc" in equatorial mode).
Natal Body Sign	Zodiac sign of the natal body.
Natal Body Latitude	Ecliptic latitude of the natal body (relabeled "Natal Body Declination" in equatorial mode).
Natal Body Distance	Distance of the natal body.
Natal Body Speed	Longitudinal speed of the natal body.
Event Interval	Time interval since the previous event.
