Parallel Activations Study
The Parallel Activations Study generates an event whenever two transiting bodies are parallel or contraparallel while at least one of them is parallel (within orb) to a natal body. The parallel to the natal body activates that natal body.

Create a Parallel Activations Study
To add a new Parallel Activations Study to the active workspace:
- Click Transit Studies on the menu bar.
- Click Parallel Activations in the menu.
You can also create a Parallel Activations Study from the toolbar by clicking the Parallel Studies drop-down button and selecting Parallel Activations.
Events Captured
A Parallel Activations event occurs when two transiting bodies form an exact parallel or contraparallel while at least one of the transiting bodies is parallel (within the transit orb) to a natal body. The natal body is reported alongside the transiting pair as the body the parallel activates. Both parallel subtypes are reported in a single events table, distinguished by the Event Type column.
Events Table Columns
The events table for a Parallel Activations Study contains the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Date Time | Date and time of the event. |
| Event Type | Subtype of the parallel event (Parallel or Contraparallel). |
| Inner Body | Name of the inner (faster) transiting body in the parallel that activates the natal body. |
| Inner Body Longitude | Ecliptic longitude (or right ascension) of the inner body. |
| Inner Body Sign | Zodiac sign of the inner body. |
| Inner Body Latitude | Ecliptic latitude (or declination) of the inner body. |
| Inner Body Distance | Distance of the inner body from the coordinate origin. |
| Inner Body Speed | Apparent angular speed of the inner body. |
| Outer Body | Name of the outer (slower) transiting body in the parallel. |
| Outer Body Longitude | Ecliptic longitude (or right ascension) of the outer body. |
| Outer Body Sign | Zodiac sign of the outer body. |
| Outer Body Latitude | Ecliptic latitude (or declination) of the outer body. |
| Outer Body Distance | Distance of the outer body from the coordinate origin. |
| Outer Body Speed | Apparent angular speed of the outer body. |
| Natal Body | Name of the natal body activated by the parallel. |
| Natal Body Longitude | Ecliptic longitude (or right ascension) of the natal body. |
| Natal Body Sign | Zodiac sign of the natal body. |
| Natal Body Latitude | Ecliptic latitude (or declination) of the natal body. |
| Natal Body Distance | Distance of the natal body from the coordinate origin. |
| Natal Body Speed | Apparent angular speed of the natal body. |
