Ephemeris Presets

An ephemeris preset stores a complete set of Ephemeris Settings, the location and the Reference System, under a name you choose. Applying a preset reconfigures those settings in one step, so you can switch between working setups without adjusting each dropdown.

You reach the preset commands from the ephemeris presets flyout button in the Ephemeris Settings panel. Clicking it opens a menu whose Presets entry lists your saved presets.

Applying a Preset

To apply a saved preset:

1. Click the ephemeris presets flyout button.
2. Click Presets.
3. Click the preset you want to apply.

The study's ephemeris settings are replaced with the preset's values.

Saving a New Preset

To save the current ephemeris settings as a new preset:

1. Click the ephemeris presets flyout button.
2. Click New Preset.
3. Type a name in the Enter Name dialog and click Save.

Setting a Default Preset

The default preset is the one new studies start from.

To set a preset as the default:

1. Click the ephemeris presets flyout button.
2. Click Presets.
3. Right-click the preset and select Set Default.

Clearing the Default Preset

To stop new studies from starting from a preset:

1. Click the ephemeris presets flyout button.
2. Click Clear Default.

Renaming a Preset

To change a preset's name:

1. Click the ephemeris presets flyout button.
2. Click Presets.
3. Right-click the preset and select Rename.
4. Type the new name in the Enter Name dialog and click Save.

Replacing a Preset

Replacing overwrites a preset's stored settings with the study's current ephemeris settings.

To replace a preset:

1. Click the ephemeris presets flyout button.
2. Click Presets.
3. Right-click the preset and select Replace.

Deleting a Preset

To remove a saved preset:

1. Click the ephemeris presets flyout button.
2. Click Presets.
3. Right-click the preset and select Delete.
